Rain on The Castle Rules
First welcome to the site, just a few rules for you to follow to keep the site running well.
First Characters, Character Creation, Plotting, Posting.
We are a canon and non canon site, you can make a canon or you can make an original here on site. We are NOT book strict when it comes to the canon characters. Seeing that this is an AU site you have wiggle room to express yourself with the character. We will NOT come down on you if you change a thing here and there as long as you keep to the core of the character. You would rather have Remus be gay? Sure that is fine by us, but you want to make him not a werewolf? That we will stop you on as that is something that is core to that character. Sirius has to be a Black, and run away in his sixth year, but weather or not he plays quidditch, likes men or women, or what classes he is good at, thats up to you. We want you to have some freedom here on the site and not think that we will come down on you with a hammer just for changing a thing here or there.
No god modding, gary sue, mary sue characters. No power playing, no taking OOC information to use in your posts unless told you can. Keep all your characters with faults and bad things as well, no one is perfect, no one can be everything or do everything out there. Just remember that they are human and they must have human faults as well as human good things as well.
No character Limit, but we do as that you at least post once a week. Have as many characters as you can handle, the only thing that we ever ask is that you post more then just one line. No one liner posts is the only rule when it comes to posting when it comes to posting and characters. So make sure that you can post more then just a line with all the characters that you have on hand.
Remember to fill out the application, if you need any help ask the admin and will be more then happy to help you out with your application. If you need longer then a week to create, then ask and we will be more then happy to give you more time.
Original Characters, some small guide lines to remember as you make a character in this position. Yes, your character can transfer from any school into Hogwarts at any year. They WILL have some downfalls with this, as not every school teaches the same thing at the same years, so they should be behind a little bit in at least a class or two, they can not be perfect in all their classes as they would be behind some. Yes there are some shops that you can own if there is not a canon owner already, for shops we want to keep some of the canon owners still in position but other then that so many jobs open for you to take advantage of. When it comes to teaching at Hogwarts the jobs will go to the canon first, but if there is no canon for that job then it will be open for an OC
If you have any questions about characters, posting and such, just come to the admin and the admin would be more then happy to help you out.
For adult things in posting, because we want to keep a bit with the TOS when it comes to Proboards and other things. We will be making people do FTB if things start to get to hot and heavy for the post when it comes to sexy time, so yes you will FTB before anything gets to far. Adult in the wizarding world is 17 here. Now when it comes to swearing, it is welcome, as long as its not every other word in the post, drinking is ok as long as its 17 and up. Smoking is ok, again as long as its 17 and up. Anything else come to the admin so that it can be worked out.
Graphics and Out of Character Rules For Site and Discord.
Grapics for the site are as follows, the application picture is 100X100 and for the avatar is 200X200, if you need help creating the pictures to fit the way that they should, just let the admin know and she will make up some graphics for you for the things that you need. No pictures of full front nudity, you can have some side boob, maybe some butt, but nothing that would get us banned off of Proboards.
There will be no discrimination, we will not discriminate against you in any way, for anything from your posting levels, what you know about HP, religious side, political side, sexual orientation, disability or anything at all. Everyone is welcome here, no matter where you come from or who you are, you will always be welcome here to come and play and be around others of like mind.
There will be no gatekeeping, or mansplaning or womansplaning of anything of the world of HP. If you do not know something just ask and we will help you out, but we will not make you feel bad for not knowing something or other things like that. As said before all are welcome here and I hold strong to that.

The Discord is for people to come and talk, hang out with others and get away from the ills of the world. The site is for the same as well.
